Created by yachting industry professionals, Boris De Bel and Candice Christiansen, Charter Itinerary was born out of real frustration with the itinerary creation process. Anybody who is involved in compiling itineraries will know first hand the frustrations that come with creating high quality itineraries for clients, which either takes huge amounts of time or money. We decided it was time to find a solution and make it available to everybody! Since launching in July 2021, Charter Itinerary has evolved from an itinerary creation tool into a powerful software allowing charter professionals to manage the entire charter enquiry process, and we're only getting started!
Together, Candice and Boris have more than 25 years of experience in the yachting industry. Since both are active professionals in the yacht management and charter industry, they have a very clear understanding of what their customers need and welcome any and all input to keep improving Charter Itinerary!
Boris De Bel - Co founder/CEO
Our Belgian born and South African bred Co-founder and master of numbers, has been working in the yachting industry since 2012, both at sea as First Mate on numerous large sailing yachts, as well as ashore in yacht management. He is a passionate sailor, sun-seeker, thrill-seeker and some say workaholic, but is always looking for ways to shake things up in the yachting industry, and have fun doing it!
Candice Christiansen - Co founder/COO
The other half of Charter Itinerary and our resident organiser-extraordinaire, still calls Cape Town her home, despite being "stuck" in the South of France since 2007, when she joined the yachting industry managing superyachts in Monaco. She's been planning to have holidays since she can remember and looks forward to retirement, which is likely when she'll next be able to have one, since her appetite for new challenges means she never stops!
Gregor Ambrožič - CTO
Always seeking a good tech challenge whether it's machine learning or tweaking user experience. Having found his passion in tech startups and with over two decades of software development he still enjoys learning new skills and loves the 'aha moment' when something clicks. One of his goals is to do a PhD when retired. When not coding, he's probably reading a book on AI and enjoying a glass of whisky.
Sasha Curti - Head of Sales
Italian of origin, he moved all over Europe and loves to meet new people. With a background in Hospitality management and SaaS Sales, you'll find it tough to not find something to talk about, and if you can't, he certainly will. Lives in Barcelona, works in Palma, and attends most yachting events for Charter Itinerary, so we're sure you'll cross paths with him at some point. In his free time he loves to watch Formula 1, swimming and sailing on anything that doesn't have an engine but more than one sail.
Malek Amro - Head of Marketing
Malek was educated at international schools before moving back to the UK for university. He is an Established Marketer and holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies with Marketing as well as a postgraduate qualification in Digital Marketing from Squared Online. Since then he has been living and working in Mallorca after relocating to Palma from the UK. What you can expect from working with Malek is a fusion of creative, technical and commercial expertise, packaged up with fun, energy and a passion to deliver results.
Jodie Oakes - Head of Content
A landlocked surfer and writer originally from Manchester, she has long been bewitched by all things saltwater. Forever traversing the globe for her next adventure or exploring European shores with her dog, surfboard, and campervan in tow, Jodie has been penning tales about beautiful boats and pretty places for over a decade.
Mitja Ribič - Web & Graphic Design
A Slovenia based web and graphic designer playing with pixels for more the 20 years, expressing ideas through minimalist and functional design. Also a father of two who loves an active lifestyle, you'll often find Mitch riding an electric skateboard, playing volleyball and travelling the world whenever his busy schedule allows.

A note from our founders
This was never meant to be a business! We started to work on this as a side project, purely out of desperation to try to find a way, any way to improve the charter enquiry management process. This is when developing something to solve your own pain points, which are shared across an industry, has huge benefits. We quickly realized that we were onto something and decided to develop it into a tool from which all industry professionals can benefit. By selling it as a service, we are able to constantly improve it and develop it into a very powerful tool. Believe us, there is much more to come! Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!
